Her weakness
Lan Fan was a capable girl. If you asked her to plan an ambush, she could do it. If you asked her to shoot ten knives at the same target, she could do it.
But.
If you asked her to cook,
she couldn’t do it.
She found something depressing about this fact. She was fine gutting a fish and starting a fire, but she just couldn’t put those two together.
The normal outcome ranged from burning the food to setting the whole campsite on fire.
She was legitimately a failure when it came to cooking.
